The proposed apartment is intended to mimic the appearance of a single family dwelling with the singular entrance and symmetrical composition. Situated at the commencement of a row of Victorian terraces, it nestles behind a period property and is constructed in a combination of historic London stock brickwork, paired with zinc roofing and aluminium polyester powder coated frames. The utilisation of hardwood notes on the façade helps to soften and balance the modern palette of materials and sharp articulation of form and aperture. The building is comprised of a pair of one bedroom apartments with the principle living space situated at first floor level to create an amenable space overlooking the single aspect dwellings.
