Prior to establishing Smith & Newton Architects, Christopher lead a diverse range of projects in the hospitality and residential sectors including built experience with listed buildings and working closely with architectural historians on Grade II listed renovations. He has a keen and active interest in Passive Design, including completing numerous BREEAM accredited buildings. His various roles for previous practices have also seen him adopt an integral role in the maintained accreditation of quality Management aspects of the architectural services offered (ISO 9001:2008). Inaugurated as a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Christopher actively participates in and contributes to the ongoing success of societal developments and its endeavours through round table discussions and community workshops aimed at the Enlightenment of the Age.
He also designs and curates art installations, some of which have featured prominently at the London Festival of Architecture.
